House lawmakers reintroduce the GREEN Act, a ‘critical’ bill for solar
The GREEN Act is back, and the legislation would extend the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) for solar—and create a version for energy storage technology. Lawmakers on the US House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue have reintroduced the act, including its five-year extension of the solar ITC.

Regulators look to probe CMP’s unexpected obstacle to solar developers
Maine Governor Janet Mills has asked the Maine Public Utilities Commission to open an investigation into why Central Maine Power is belatedly telling solar developers that their projects are causing technical problems at substations that in some instances could require multimillion-dollar upgrades. She also wants the agency to start a broader review of Maine’s electric utilities to ensure they have the systems and planning to accommodate the growth of renewable energy generation.
