Saddleback announces plans to build 31-acre solar farm
Saddleback Mountain installed three new lifts and added $2 million in snowmaking infrastructure this year, and more projects are on the way, including a new 31-acre solar farm that will generate 7.36 MW of clean energy. The project is estimated to offset more than 14 million pounds of carbon annually.

Rhode Island: Ocean State Job Lot unwraps rooftop solar portfolio
Ocean State Job Lot could host more than Christmas decorations this winter. The North Kingstown, R.I.-based discount retail chain will be hosting 7,500 solar rooftop panels across 10 of its Rhode Island locations. The energy generated will be fed directly back into the regional power grid. The project is part of Rhode Island’s Renewable Energy Growth Program, which offers financial incentives for solar and wind projects.

New York: County site boosts wind electricity record
Multiple new records in electricity generated by wind power recently are being credited to strong gusts and a new Chautauqua County facility that recently went online. Officials said the new records were aided by the addition of two new utility-scale wind projects that recently connected to the bulk electric system, including Cassadaga Wind, a 126.5 MW facility.
